2026 Summer Reading Information

Rising 6^th grade  Title: Restart by Gordon Korman

Books were handed out at all district elementary schools during the month of May. If you did not get yours, please reach out to your 5^th grade elementary school.

Once students finish reading the book, they need to log in via the link below and complete the reading challenge for adventure and prizes!

Rising 7^th and 8th grade Title: City Spies by James Ponti (Book 1)

Books were handed out to all district English classes in May and PHMS students signed class rosters with their teacher stating they received their book.

Students new to the county can come and pick up a book at the front office Mon-Thursday 7:30-5.

*** In keeping with our area high schools required summer reading assignments for rising 9^th graders in Eng. I and II, reading the book before school begins is an expectation of all rising 8^th graders enrolled in the Eng. I high school course. 

Once students are DONE reading the book- students need to log in and complete the 2 part escape room challenge for assessment, adventure and prizes!

K-12 Student Accident Insurance Plan

The Pinellas County School Board, like most school boards in the State of Florida, requires students participating in certain school activities, such as athletics, to purchase student accident insurance. This requirement will help ensure that every student who participates in certain activities is covered. This coverage is required even if another medical plan or program covers the student.
