Night of Excellence

This event celebrates the exceptional achievements of invited 8th-grade students, honoring their hard work and accomplishments of the past three years as they get ready to move up to high school.

DATE: Tuesday, May 26th, 2026   ** Please note that this is a change from the original date posted in January.

Time: 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.  Doors open at 5:30 with first come- first serve seating. 

Location:  Palm Harbor University High School gym. 

Participation is contingent upon meeting academic expectations established for the end of the year. Students who qualify will receive  an invitation and 3 printed and numbered guest tickets per student. These will be mailed home to the official address listed in FOCUS. Please make sure your official address is correct and updated. 

**All guests, except for lap infants, will need an original paper ticket for entry. No screen shots or copies. 

Printed invitations and tickets will be mailed in two waves. 

Invitations will be sent to students who have already met the requirements to level up to high school.

Invitations for students who have not yet met the requirements to level up for high school due to grades or testing, will be held back until the requirements are met. 

Students who do not qualify to attend the event will receive a phone call from our guidance counselor regarding summer school information.

We are looking for volunteers to help plan behind-the scenes and volunteer for this event.
